Welcome to Kalapo Schnauzers. We are a small breeder of Miniature Schnauzers who live in Western North Carolina. First and foremost our Schnauzers are our pets. They all live inside the house with the family. We have owned, shown, and bred several breeds over the years. We can safely say that Miniature Schnauzers are the last stop for us. For us they are the perfect breed. They make the most wonderful companions and house pets. They are hypoallergenic and do not shed. They are a loving, highly intelligent, and asthetically pleasing little lapdog. We have always taken great pride and done a great deal of research in the selection of our Schnauzers. At the top of our list is health and temperament. We want our pets to be healthy happy members of our family and yours. We also look for certain physical attributes as well. A miniature schnauzer's coat can come in a wide range of colors, thickness, and textures. We specialize in mega and supercoats in the more rare liver /chocolate line of colors. We also want their coats to be thick and tangle free as possible. Miniature Schnauzers also come in a wide range of sizes. Our dogs are sized in the range from 7-11 pounds which is considered toy size. We will sometimes have teacup sized puppies that are less than 7 pounds. We only have a couple of litters of puppies per year but that allows us to offer future Schnauzer parents a healthy well socialized puppy that is of the highest quality. Our puppies come with a 3 year health guarantee against genetic disease. We offer shipping to anywhere in the US for $300.00. We will also consider driving to meet new schnauzer parents for a determined fee. Our puppies are priced according to several different factors consisting of but not limited to gender, size, color, markings, type of coat, and full/limited akc registration. Any puppy purchased from us will include the following:
* 3 year health guarantee against life threating genetic disease
* Limited/Full AKC registration
* UTD shots and wormers
* 3 generation pedigree
* Vet checked within 1 week of departing for their new home
*Tails docked and dew claws removed by vet at 3-5 days of age
*Travel crate if being shipped via air
*Ears left natural (we will have ears cropped for you by our vet for an additional $225 if you elect to do so)
* First flea treatment will have been administered

* Most importantly we are available 24/7 should you ever have any questions or concerns. Just give us a call and we will do our best to assist you or direct you to someone who can
* 1st haircut and bath/grooming
* We feed all our dogs Taste of the Wild and we recommend you feed a high quality holistic dog food as well. We will provide you with a 5 pound bag this excellent food to start you out. Check out the Dog Food Analysis website located on our links page.
Our puppies will typically be posted on here within a week after being born. A puppy can be reserved on a first come first serve basis anytime after they are posted for $300.00 deposit. Full payment must be received by puppy pick up /shipping which is when the puppy is 8 weeks of age. Deposit well be forfeited if puppy is not paid for in full by the time puppy is 8 weeks of age. We prefer all payments be made using Paypal but if you would like to pay via other methods then by all means call us and we will make arrangements. Paypal payments will include an additional 4% of amount being sent to cover fees.
